Newbridge Clinic P.A., a growing holistic medical clinic located in Bloomington is looking for an office reception to help us grow our integrative pediatric health practice at our new southwest Minneapolis location (in Linden HIlls). We are looking for a highly organized self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team, an outstanding work ethic, excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and strong computer skills.
Front desk receptionist duties including greeting patients, promoting practice services and practitioners, scheduling, appointment reminder phone calls, correspondence, filing, ordering and selling supplements, ensuring patient confidentiality, interfacing with our electronic health record company, publishing newsletters and website updates, and helping coordinate office environment and décor. Additional duties include medical insurance verification and submission, invoicing, collecting payments, ordering and receiving supplements and office supplies. Licensed Nutritionist / Registered Dietician / Health Coach position We are looking for a bright, energetic, holistic / natural-health-minded nutritionist/dietician who is already skilled in or interested in learning more about nutritional approaches to managing autism, ADHD, chronic illness, and health promotion for children and families, as well as working on nutritional-related duties/projects within our clinic. We are ultimately looking for the providision of nutritional consultation and related work within our holistic/integrative pediatric/family health practice in Bloomington, MN (soon to be moving to Linden Hills in SW Minneapolis). We desire a highly organized self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team, an outstanding work ethic, excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task; strong computer skills; and an interest or experience in integrative and holistic medicine. Candidates must be friendly and outgoing and love working with parents, infants, children and adolescents with a variety of conditions including autism and other disabilities.
Benefits / responsibilities including: • Excellent learning opportunities (structured education will be provided based on Institute for Functional Medicine, Weston A Price, Autism Research Institute, Food as Medicine, and other nutrition-focused approaches) • Hands-on 1:1 and group session work with patients, depending on aptitude/experience
• Shaddowing front desk and nursing/provider staff to learn from their expertise
• Back-up for Front desk – assisting receptionist with light receptionist duties including assisting patients with nutrition, special diet, and supplement education
• Coordinating/running with group visits, monthly education sessions, speaking engagements, etc.
• Other duties as delegated
Necessary candidate requirements: • Nutrition / Dietetics degree, licensure/certification, or Health Coach certification prefered (or actively working toward) • Medical office experience or similar
• Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated • Demonstrated strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, internet; and ability to learn new software quickly • Excellent writing and typing skills • Strong phone, speaking and people skills – good customer service • Mature, outgoing, and well-spoken • Interest in integrative/natural medicine, special diets, and using nutrition as treatment for chronic conditions
Preferred experience: • Experience with nutrition, and/or chronic health/developmental conditions such as autism and ADHD, and/or other developmental disorders, weight loss, diabetes, other chronic conditions • Understanding of nutritional supplements and integrative care a strong plus.
• Advanced computer skills including (Word, Excel, Medical Scheduling, Billing Software, EMR/EHR, Quick books) • Knowledgeable re: insurance billing, coding, modifiers and overall insurance policies and protocols • Well-versed in medical terminology. Hours: • Part-time/casual basis initially, potentially growing to full-time in the future.
